Cygnia Host GDPR Event at Prestigious Aston Martin HQ

IT Managers from over 20 different industries and over 55 organisations attended the Cygnia GDPR event at Aston Martin HQ on the 9th March. Seminars were presented by representatives of 7 different technology and consultancy vendors covering compliance in data processes, email, the cloud, breach detection, incident response and cyber security testing.

Cygnia are helping companies prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation which will come into force on the 25th May 2018. As the regulation is extremely broad, organisations should consider doing a GAP analysis as soon as possible to establish their next steps. Cygnia have now consolidated a product and service bundle which will help towards the progression of an organisation’s compliance. Cygnia have also gathered resource articles around GDPR to help inform Compliance and IT managers about the changes that will be put into effect and exactly what technologies and audits can help prepare for it.

GDPR is the most comprehensive regulation on data protection that companies in the UK will ever have seen, promoting privacy by design and consent-based use of information. With fines for non-compliance reaching as high as 4% of global turnover, GDPR is designed so that it will never be cheaper to suffer a breach rather than secure your network and organise your data.
